There’s a quick shot of snow Thursday night through Friday, but the system passes too far to our north to produce that much snow.  Here are the model forecasts:

4” – WRF Model

2” – Canadian and European Models

1” – American Model

This weekend through Monday, we’ll see more zonal flow (i.e., typical westerly winds with neither a ridge nor a trough impacting us).  Highs should be in the mid 30s, with mostly sunny skies.

Then, a major system from the pacific northwest looks to hit us Tuesday and Wednesday, though the center of the low pressure will be too far north to make a gigantic snow impact.  Here are the model forecasts:

5” – Canadian and European Models

1” – American Model

Flurries to light snow looks to continue after the Tuesday/Wednesday system.

Cheers.

You might be a Bryan Mountain Patroller if: you’re confused by a reference to the ten essentials, as you’ve always thought there were seventy-two essentials.
