A powerful system comes in from the west on Wednesday, but it looks like the mountains on the west side of the compass to our patrol zone (i.e., most of them) will be stealing our snow.   Here are the model snow forecasts:

8” – Canadian Model

6” – American Model

3” – European and UK Met Models

Another few quick system(s) from the west look to provide more snow on Friday to Sunday (New Year’s Day).  Saturday looks to be colder than Sunday.  Here are the model snow forecasts:

9” – European Model

7” – Canadian Model

3” – American Model

Cheers.

Retrospective Discussion:

The two systems passing to our north over the Christmas weekend produced 3-4” of fresh snow according to my review of the Eldora Webcam.  So, the Canadian and European Models did a nice job predicting the snowfall, while the American, WRF, and UK Met Models were too pessimistic.
