Welcome to March, the second snowiest month of the year on average in our patrol zone.

After a warm week, a complex system from the west is over our patrol zone this weekend through Monday.  The snow looks to begin on Friday afternoon (with rain at lower elevations).  Here are the various model forecasts for our patrol zone from Friday to Monday:

13” – American Model

6” – Canadian and European Models

Although pretty far out in the future, after a likely respite on Tuesday (3/8), the models indicate a system will come in from the north on Wednesday (3/9).  Here are the model forecasts for that system (on the edge of forecast fairyland) from Wednesday (3/9) to Thursday (3/10):

5” – Canadian Model

3” – American Model

2” – European Model

Cheers.  And, if you’re curious from my opening comment, what is the snowiest month on average in our patrol zone?  Answer: April.
