Quick forecast.  Snow lingers until Thursday morning.  Here are the various model snow predictions for our patrol zone from tonight through Wednesday:

Canadian, American, and UKMet Models: 4”

European and NAM Models: 3”

WRF Model: 1”

The next system comes in from the west northwest on Friday and looks to last through Sunday.  As of now, biggest snow looks like Saturday during the day and evening.  Here are the various model predictions in our patrol area for that total system (Friday to Sunday):

Canadian and UKMet Models: 6”

American and European Models: 3”

The picture looks clouded (no pun intended) after that point.

Retrospective Discussion:

Eldora reported picking up 6” over the weekend (Friday to Sunday morning), so for the Friday morning model runs, the Canadian, NAM, RDPS, and WRF models all did a nice job, while the European Model was too optimistic, and the American and UKMet models were too pessimistic.  The model runs 4-6 days out paint a different picture, with the European and American Models doing a nice job, while the UKMet was too optimistic, and the Canadian model was sadly way too optimistic.

Cheers.
