A powerful system currently centered over the California / Oregon border makes its way towards us, but powerful systems not associated with jet streaks that have a poor wind direction do little for our patrol zone.  This system arrives Saturday, but likely will produce at most two inches, and perhaps just a dusting.

This system is immediately followed by a second powerful system from the west northwest looking to hit us on Monday / Tuesday.  This one looks a bit more promising.  Here are the various medium term model snow forecasts:

American Model: 7”

Canadian Model: 5”

UKMet Model: 4”

European Model: 2”

A ridge of high pressure looks to return on Wednesday and Thursday, and then gazing into forecast fairyland another system looks to pass through Colorado next Saturday.  The Canadian Model is predicting 2” in that system and the American Model is predicting ½”.

Keep doing your snow dances for more snow.
