Forecast Summary:

Light snow possible on Thursday.  Larger system mid-day Saturday through Monday morning.  Light snow after that possible.

Forecast Discussion:

A few more pleasant days on tap.

Then we may get a quick hit of snow from the southwest on Thursday night.  This was the system that was looking much more promising in my Friday forecast.  Bummer it’s looking to be small.  Here are the snow totals forecasted:

4” per the American Model

1” per the NAM Model

Dusting per the CAIC, Canadian, and European Models

Friday should be nice after the 0-4” of snow on Thursday night.

Then a more serious system looks to come in from the northwest.  Between Saturday midday and Monday morning, the Canadian Model is calling for 17”, the European Model is calling for 11”, and the American Model is calling for 6.5” between Saturday midday and Monday morning.  It’s still far away from a forecast perspective, but a 6-18” forecast sounds promising, especially to help our snowpack once we can all go (hopefully) out later in the year to take advantage of it once we’re in the summer season.

Another shot of snow on Tuesday (or Wednesday).  American model has 2” and Canadian model has 6” from this storm.

Stay safe, healthy, happy, and sane everyone.
